Changes to your Coles Group Card

From 5 March 2018 there will be changes to your Coles Group Card Credit Contract.

Why is everything changing?

Citi has purchased the Coles Credit Card Portfolio from Wesfarmers Finance. This means that from 5 March 2018 Citi will be your new credit provider.

Why am I getting a Coles No Annual Fee Mastercard?

The Coles Group Card is operated on a network that is not supported by Citi. As such, your Coles Group Card has to be replaced with a Coles No Annual Fee Mastercard to ensure that you can continue to spend on your Account.

Do I need to do anything?

Yes, you will need to agree to Citi providing you credit in the future. The ways you can do this are set out in the Assignment and Novation Notice, which we have sent to you, and include making a purchase on your new Coles No Annual Fee Mastercard on or after 5 March 2018.

Citi has purchased the Coles Credit Card Portfolio from Wesfarmers Finance which means that from 5 March 2018 Citi will be the new credit provider for your new Coles No Annual Fee Mastercard. Wesfarmers Finance will assign any outstanding balance that you have on your Coles Group Card to Citi and you will be required to pay any balance owing on your Account from 5 March 2018 to Citi.

Your Coles Group Card will soon be replaced with a Coles No Annual Fee Mastercard and you’ll be enrolled into the flybuys Program, which will allow you to collect flybuys Points on eligible transactions. From 5 March 2018 you will also be subject to new terms and conditions and Citi’s Privacy Notice which were included in the information you have received in the mail or by email.

There are no fees associated with the transfer of your Credit Contract. There are changes to the fees and charges that apply to your Account and to the way we calculate them. For further details about these changes please refer to your Financial Table Update.

Is there any difference between my Coles Group Card and Coles No Annual Fee Mastercard? Navigation Show below Hide below

You will be able to use your new Coles No Annual Fee Mastercard everywhere Mastercard is accepted. You will also be able to collect flybuys Points when you spend with your card. All the features and benefit of the Coles No Annual Fee Mastercard will be outlined when you receive your new card.

Your Coles Group Card will cease working effective at 11.45pm AEST Saturday 3 March 2018. After this date, please call 1300 379 572 to activate your new Coles No Annual Fee Mastercard.

When will I receive my new Coles No Annual Fee Mastercard? Navigation Show below Hide below

You will receive a new Coles No Annual Fee Mastercard in February. You will have enough time to receive it and activate it before your Coles Group Card stops working at 11.45pm AEST Saturday 3 March 2018. After this date, please call 1300 379 572 to activate your new Coles No Annual Fee Mastercard.

What happens if I don’t want a Coles No Annual Fee Mastercard? Navigation Show below Hide below

If you don’t want a new Coles No Annual Fee Mastercard you do not need to activate the card when you receive it and you can close your Account. You will however need to pay any outstanding balance owing on your Coles Group Card.

You will need to agree to Citi providing you credit in the future, the ways you can do this are set out in the Assignment and Novation Notice, and include for example making a purchase on your new Coles No Annual Fee Mastercard on or after the 5 March 2018.

What happens if I don’t want Citi to become my credit provider? Navigation Show below Hide below

Even if you don’t agree for Citi to become your credit provider, you will still be required to pay any outstanding balance owing on your Account. This means that from the 5 March 2018 you will be subject to the parts of the new Coles Mastercard Terms and Conditions that relate to repayments as well as as Citi’s Privacy Notice.

If you choose to close your Account, you will still be required to pay any outstanding balance owing. This means that from 5 March 2018 you will be subject to the parts of the new Coles Mastercard Terms and Conditions that relate to repayments as well as Citi’s Privacy Notice.

I want to agree but I have a block on my card? Navigation Show below Hide below

If your card has been blocked from further spend, this will remain in place until you repay the outstanding balance of your Account. Once you have paid off any outstanding balance on your Account in full, you may be able to spend on your Account, please contact us if you would like to discuss this further 1300 366 625.

How do I continue to pay the balance of my card? Navigation Show below Hide below

For the time being, please continue to make repayments (including Hardship Arrangements) on your Account as you usually do. We will provide you with further information regarding paying Your Account when we send Your new Coles No Annual Fee Mastercard out to you in February 2018.
