Monthly payment methods

Direct debit
The direct debit facility helps ensure you never miss a payment. Simply set up an automatic monthly payment to your Coles Mastercard account from your savings or cheque account. Please note, you can’t make payments with a credit card or a charge card. To set up a direct debit facility, download a direct debit request form and return it to us.


You can pay your Coles Mastercard account anytime, day or night, using your bank's telephone or internet banking service. Please remember, payments are only processed during your bank’s designated hours. So you’ll need to make sure you complete your transaction before your bank’s cut off time on your due date. Simply quote the Coles Mastercard Biller Code (8862), your Reference Number (your 16 digit card number) and the amount you wish to pay.

BPAY®^  payments usually take between 24 and 48 hours to appear on your account.
Your financial institution provides overnight crediting of funds for payments made prior to cut-off times. If you make a BPAY®^  payment over a weekend or public holiday your payment will take longer to process as these are not designated business banking days. Please check with your financial institution for more information.

Pay at Australia Post 

You can pay your account at any Australia Post Office. Remember to take your statement with you. A payment handling fee of $2.25 applies to each transaction.

Mail us your cheque

You can pay your account by cheque or money order. Please do not send cash. Make it payable to – Coles Mastercard.

Then send the payment, with your tear-off payment slip found at the bottom of your statement to:

Minimum payment amount

To find out the minimum amount payable on your Coles Mastercard, use the Online Service Centre. You will find the minimum payment amount on the Account Summary page. You will need to register for the Online Service Centre if you haven’t already done so. Contact us to register.

Your minimum amount payable is also listed on your monthly Coles Mastercard statement. 

If your minimum payment, cheque, direct debit, or BPAY®^ payment is late, a late fee may apply.


How can I avoid paying a late fee?

We're committed to educating our customers about managing their account effectively. An important part of this is letting you know some of the options available to help you reduce or avoid charges altogether.

  • Make sure you have enough funds in your account so all direct debits and other scheduled payments can be made.
  • Pay special attention when using payment methods such as BPAY®^  and personal cheques, which can take between three to five business days to process.
  • Avoid late charges by ensuring you have paid at least your minimum payment before the due date.
